BASE | Roadrunners sweep Grizzlies Saturday

DENVER, Colo.- The Grizzlies took on Metropolitan State University Roadrunners in a nine-inning and a seven-inning double header today after Friday's game got postponed to Saturday due to snow.

Game 1: Roadrunners 6, Grizzlies 3
The Roadrunners opened up the game by scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning which included a solo home run. The Roadrunners added another run in the bottom of the second inning.

The Grizzlies got on the board in the top of the third inning with a run batted in by Cedric Reynaud and a single which scored another run by Mike Bathauer.

The Roadrunners added another run to take a 5 to 2 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Kolten Bleggi added another run for the Grizzlies in the top of the fifth inning with a solo home run. The Roadrunners hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
 
Nathan Hield and Jace Wytulka lead the Grizzlies with two hits apiece.

Game 2: Roadrunners 13, Grizzlies 0
The Roadrunners opened up the game with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Added one run in the bottom of the third inning, eight in the bottom of the fourth, one in the fifth and sixth inning. The Grizzlies were head scoreless only recording four hits by Mike and Matt Bathauer, Orlando Romero and Ryan Downs.

The Grizzlies have another nine inning and seven inning double header on Sunday starting at 12:00 p.m. against the Roadrunners to finish up the weekend.
