LAS VEGAS, N.M.— The Grizzlies took a road trip down to Las Vegas, New Mexico to take on the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys in the final season series for each team. Due to two long lighting delays, the Grizzlies finished 9-inning affair and forced the second game to move to Sunday.

The Cowboys opened up the game with a run in the bottom of the first inning. They added onto the lead with five runs in the bottom of the third inning. The Grizzlies jumped on the board by scoring four runs in top of the fourth inning with a double by
Matt Bathauer, a sacrifice fly by
Chase Dixon and a single by
Paul Giglio. The Cowboys responded and put up four more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Mike Bathauer hit a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning. The Cowboys then put up nine unanswered runs with one in the bottom of the fifth, two in the bottom of the seventh inning , and six in the bottom of the eight inning.

Due to the rain delays, the Grizzlies will play a doubleheader tomorrow both seven-inning games starting at 12 and 2 against the Cowboys. Then the Grizzlies will finish up the series on Sunday with a nine- inning game starting at 9am.
