ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies had their season opener game against the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals. This is the first game since the COVID Spring 2021 season.
Lubbock Christian came out fast with a goal midway through the first half. Adams State responded back with a shot on goal but unfortunately it was saved by Lubbock Christian's keeper. Lubbock Christian came out and scored again making it 2-0 at the end of the first half.
At the beginning of the second half, the Chaparrals scored off of a penalty kick in the 36
th minute making the score 3-0. Adams State had two yellow cards, while Lubbock Christian had one. The final score of the game is 3-0.
Up next Adams State will be playing Texas Permian Basin on Monday, September 6
th at 3:00 p.m. This will be a home game for the Grizzlies.
