ALAMOSA, Colo.—Adams State University wrestling coach
Jason Ramstetter has announced changes to the ASU wrestling schedule for the week.
The Grizzlies, wo are ranked No. 13 in the Week No. 2 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll and eighth in the latest InterMat rankings, will still host New Mexico Highlands University in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) dual on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. inside Plachy Hall.
The Grizzlies were supposed to host a tri-RMAC dual with NMHU and San Francisco State, however, due to COVID-19 protocols, SFSU is unable to make the trip to Colorado.
In addition, the Grizzlies are still scheduled to go to Gunnison on Friday for the Western Colorado Open. They were scheduled to stay the night and participate in the Tracy Borah Duals and take on Simon Fraser and the University of Mary. COVID-19 complications have restricted Simon Fraiser from leaving Canada, so the Grizzlies have withdrawn from the duals tournament.
The Grizzlies have four individual wrestlers who are ranked in the top 12 of their respective weight classes.
Isaiah De La Cerda is ranked No. 9 at 125 pounds,
Jonathan Andreatta is ranked No. 9 at 133 pounds,
Noah Hermosillo is ranked No. 4 at 149 pounds and
Josiah Rider is ranked No. 6 at 157 pounds.
In the interMat rankings, De La Cerda, Andreatta and Rider are ranked sixth, Hermosillo is ranked third and
Hunter Tobiasson is ranked eighth at 197 pounds.
