WSOC | Griffins shut out Grizzlies on Sunday

SALT LAKE CITY– Westminster College was able to capitalize on two moments resulting in a 2-0 win against Adams State University Sunday afternoon at Dumke Field. The Griffins have now won six straight games.

The Grizzlies and the Griffins started the game strong. However, the Griffins were able to capitalize on a corner kick in the 23rd minute resulting in a 0-1 lead for the Griffins (8-2-1). After a break away the Griffins were able to get another goal in the 41st minute, to take a 2-0 lead. The Grizzlies came out even stronger in the second half of the game but were unable to score.

The Griffins first goal came from Cassidy Orr and was assisted by Shea Keahloha. Followed by Kim Hendrickson and assisted by Alexa Maple.

The Grizzlies will return home to play against New Mexico Highlands this upcoming Wednesday at 3:00 pm. This will be the Grizzlies Senior game.
