COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- For the second straight week, an Adams State University wrestling team had a student-athlete named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Wrestler the week as announced by conference officials.
Hermosillo claims the latest RMAC weekly wrestling honor after earning a 4-0 record over the weekend at the Younes Hospitality Open, hosted by Nebraska-Kearney, in Kearney, Neb. The senior dominated the 157-pound division and closed the event with a 9-2 win in the title match. Hermosillo claimed pinfalls in half of his matches and led a string of Adams State competitors with top performances at the open.
The Grizzlies will now turn their attention to the Doug Moses Open on Saturday, Dec. 3, in Las Vegas, New Mexico. New Mexico Highlands will serve as the host for the one-day event, which will be held inside the Cowboys' John A. Wilson Complex.
