ALAMOSA, Colo. -- Adams State won its first game of the 2022 ASU Thanksgiving Classic on Friday evening and it did so in a big way.
ASU, which saw the entire Grizzly line up score, rode a 57-point second half to record a 93-56 win over Navajo Technical University at Plachy Hall..
Koby Walker , who shattered his previous career-high scoring of 18 points, led the Grizzlies with 24 points as he was 8-of-10 from beyond the arch. Lamont Sanders added 15 and dished out a team-high four assists. Alex Hurr chipped in with 10. Jalen Grant led the Skyhawks with 13 points. Kane Kenyon added 11.
The game featured 10 ties at eight lead changes. ASU made nearly 46 percent of its field goals. The Skyhawks made just 36 percent of their field-goal attempts. ASU made 56 percent of its tries from 3-point range. NTU made just 27 percent.
ASU closes out its Thanksgiving Classic in Plachy Hall at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, against Southeast Oklahoma State University.
