ALAMOSA, Colo. -- Adams State University's women's basketball exploded for 33 points in the second quarter while five players scored double figures and went on to an 81-61 victory over Western State Colorado at Plachy Hall Dec. 2.

ASU improved to 6-2 overall, 2-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Mountaineers fell to 1-5 overall, 0-1 in conference play.

ASU's top scorer was Elaina Watson's 16 points. Harmanie Dominguez poured in 14 points and added five rebounds. The Grizzlies' leading rebounder was Kiiyani Anitielu with seven.
