ALAMOSA, Colo.— Fourteen three-pointers in Saturday evening's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) contest inside Plachy Hall, the Adams State University Grizzlies closed out 2022 with a 91-81 loss at the hands of the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers.
The Hardrockers cashed in on 14 treys on 28 attempts while also hitting 30-of-67 (44.8 percent) from the field and 17-of-20 (85 percent) from the free throw line. They were led by Brevin Walters who scored 26 points.
The Grizzlies hit 10-of-27 (37 percent) from beyond the arch while hitting 33-of-57 (57.9 percent) from the field.
Kolby Walker was the leading scorer for Adams State scored 23 points as he hit 8-of-18 from the field and 6-of-14 from three-point land. He was also the team leader in rebounds with seven.
The Grizzlies will open the new year at home next Friday at 7:30 p.m. when they host the Regis Rangers. They will then play on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against the UCCS Mountain Lions.
