ALAMOSA, Colo.—Although the Grizzlies trailed by as many as 20 points, the Grizzlies were able to rally back before ultimately falling to the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks by eight, 73-65 on Friday night inside Plachy Hall.
The Mavericks pulled away early and took a 20-point advantage, 45-25, at the intermission. The Grizzlies quickly came storming back in the second half to cut the lead in half, but once that lead was down to ten, the Mavericks were able to close the door and kept themselves ahead comfortably.
The Grizzlies were led by
Nykolas Lange and
Rylan O'Brien led the way for the Grizzlies with 15 points apiece.
The Grizzlies, now 10-12 (6-10 RMAC), return to action on Saturday when they host Westminster at 7:30 p.m.
