MBB | Grizzlies to close season in Denver

ALAMOSA, Colo- The Adams State University Men's basketball team will head back on the road to finish up there 2021-22 season games. On the road they will face Colorado School of Mines and Regis University.
 
The Grizzlies had there senior night last Saturday, where they faced one of their top rivals Western Colorado University. The Grizzlies had five players scoring in double digits, four of those players were seniors. To lead the way, the Grizzlies had Rylan O'Brien with 25 points and four steals. Kaelin Crane was next with 21 points going 9-16 from field goal. Jordan Notch with 18 points and six rebounds. Nykolas Lange with 11 points going 3-5 from the 3-point line. Lastly, we had Malik Moore having yet another double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Grizzlies took the lead right from tip off and took home the win 94-85.
 
Up first, the Grizzlies will take on Colorado School of Mines on Friday, February 25th at 7:30 p.m. They will then turn around and play Regis University Saturday, February 26th at 6:00 p.m.
 
Colorado School of Mines last game played was against Colorado Mesa. At the jump these two teams were showing off their aggression and physicality. The score had tied twice within the second half. Mines had made the Mavericks turn over the ball 11 times and had total of 21 points off Mesa turn overs. Mines had only two people scoring in double digits to lead the way we had Blaise Threatt with 27 points going 10-11 from the free throw line. They also had Jared Small with 17 points going 50% from the three-point line 4-8. Unfortunately, Mines could not stay up with Mesa and they ended up with a tough loss 62-72.
 
The next team the Grizzlies will match up against this weekend will be against Regis University Saturday, February 26th at 6:00 p.m.
 
Regis last game played was against Westminster College. Regis was struggling on the road as the Griffins were taking an advantage of their home court. The Rangers only had one player scoring in double figures and that was Aaron Bokol with 17 points going 6-9 from the three point line. The next ranger up in scoring will be Kevin Ebiriekwe 9 points and 3 rebounds. The rangers just could not find a rhythm and ended up in a loss 53-72.
 
The grizzlies will end there season with these two teams on the road. They currently seat at 10th  place in the RMAC standing. In order to go to the tournament the Grizzlies must be in top 8th. The tournament will start March 1st  on a Tuesday and will end Saturday March 5th
