ALAMOSA, Colo.—Despite a 3-0 shutout loss to the West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs on Sunday afternoon, the Adams State University Grizzlies showed improvement.
The Grizzlies faced 16 shots, nine of which were on goal and allowed three goals. The Grizzlies had eight shots, seven of which were on goal.
The game started when Maria-Frances Serrant scored a goal to open up the action in the fifth minute. Asah James, who scored her third goal of the season, made the score 2-0 in the 64 th minute. They closed out the game with a goal by Nicole Gray in the 79th minute.
Carena Harrison and
Sydney Wiedeman each had two shots on goal in the game to lead the way.
Ashlyn Bartley played the entire game and made six saves.
The Grizzlies will return to action on Friday Sept. 9 when they host Texas A&M International University at 3:00 p.m.
