DENVER -- Adams State's trip to Denver for its second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match didn't turn out so well for the Grizzlies.
Metropolitan State University of Denver scored three goals in the second half en route to a 4-1 win. The Roadrunners improved to 4-1-1, 1-0 in the RMAC. The Grizzlies slipped to 0-5, 0-2 in conference play.

Brendan Koplin scored his second goal of the season in the 72nd minute.
Ranulfo Lopez drew the assist. Aidan Bates (his third of the season) and Alec Nguyen (his first) scored within 4 1/2 minutes of the second half to break open what was a close contest. Adan Perez (his second of the campaign) and Aaron Bigerstaff (his third of the year) also scored for the Roadrunners.
MSU outshot Adams State 22-4. ASU goalkeeper
Zach Carr made eight saves. The Roadrunners' goalie, Ross MIller, did not have to make a save.
Eastern New Mexico calls on the Grizzlies at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, in Alamosa.
