GOLDEN, Colo. -- The Colorado School of Mines men's basketball team jumped out a 14-point halftime lead and went on to a 102-81 win over the visiting Adams State Grizzlies Jan. 28 in Lockridge Arena.
The Orediggers improved to 19-2 this season, 13-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. ASU fell to 3-17, 1-13 in the conference.
Kolby Walker led the Grizzlies with 28 points, including five from 3-point range.
Maison Adeleye made one from long range and finished with 11 points. Kai Barr led the Orediggers with 24 points. Riley Schroeder had 17 points, while Ben Boone added 13. Reagan Koch contributed 11.
ASU made just 35 percent of its field-goal tries against Mines. The Orediggers shot 53 percent from the floor. CSM also picked up 49 points from its bench players.
The Grizzlies return home to face New Mexico Highlands at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3.
