ALAMOSA -- The University of Colorado-Colorado Springs men's basketball team recorded a 91-79 win over Adams State University in Plachy Hall Jan. 7.
ASU's
Kolby Walker led his team's score sheet with 21 points.
Jaylin Reed had 18, and
Maison Adeleye added 13. Jon'il Fugett led the Mountain Lions with 28 points. Logan Bracamonte added 21, while Mac Stodart and Sufyan Elkannnan contributed nine points apiece.
Even though both teams shot better than 50 percent from the floor in the opening half, UCCS had a 17-point lead at the break. The Mountain Lions' bench contributed 36 points to the cause in the opening 20 minutes of the game.
The Mountain Lions made 53 percent of their field goals in the game as compared to the Grizzlies' 47 percent. ASU had a slight edge in rebounding.
ASU heads for the Denver area Friday, Jan. 13, to take on Colorado Christian University. Tip time is 7:30 p.m.
