ALAMOSA, Colo. —Senior day was stellar for the Adams State University Grizzlies as they capped off an undefeated Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Power Pod Weekend with a five-set win over Chadron State on Saturday night inside Plachy Hall. Adam's State took the second set 25-21, the fourth set 25-19, and the fifth and final set 15-9.
The Grizzlies move to 7-15 on the season and 5-7 in conference play. This win puts the Grizzlies on a two-game winning streak heading into the last two weeks of regular season play.
The back-and-forth battle saw the Grizzlies used the attacking efforts of Cindy Garcia, who accounted for 21 kills, in addition to her blocks, a team-high five, and back-to-back aces to shift the momentum in favor of the Grizzlies. Anna Huggins and Natalie Gallegos added 12 more kills each. Remi Vargus had 44 assists.

The Grizzlies will head to Durango, Colo. on Friday to take on the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks and Gunnison, Colo. on Saturday to take on the Western Colorado University Mountaineers.
