MBB | Seawolves sweep weekend

 
ANCHORAGE, Alaska—The Seawolves' rapid acquisition of an early advantage, secured yet another victory, overcoming the Grizzlies in the matchup, 66-52.
 
In the opening minutes of the first half, the Seawolves quickly secured an early advantage, amplifying the significance of every move made by the Grizzlies. The potential for any well-executed play to alter the game's momentum heightened the suspense.
 
Alex Hurr electrified the court with a precision three-point shot that found nothing but net, adding a crucial 3 points to Adams State's score. This remarkable play was made possible through the impressive court vision of Destan Williams, who notched up his assist count to 2 for the game.

Emphasizing the critical nature of each point, Jude Tapia executed a layup that hit the mark, adding a crucial 2 points to the scoreboard. Cameron Kimble played a key role in this  move, securing his first assist of the game.
 
With the scoreboard now reflecting a substantial 18-point lead for the Seawolves, the stage was set for the second half. The Grizzlies navigated the latter part of the game, and the realization that every point carried immense significance injected an extra layer of intensity into their strategic approach.
 
During the second half, Destan Williams embarked on another strategic play, attempting a layup with a well-timed assist from Adnan Hussein. Hussein marked his contribution with one assist for the game. These strategic opportunities underscore their proficiency in scoring and navigating great efforts to add points to the scoreboard. Kolby Walker etched his name into the narrative with a skillful layup that found its mark, Destan Williams, who not only demonstrated his scoring capabilities also showcased his adept playmaking skills, accumulating a total of 4 assists for the game.
 
Taking advantage of the acquired offensive rebound, Alaska Anchorage sought to translate this opportunity into scoreboard points. In response, the Grizzlies strategically emulated their opponents' actions, working diligently to maintain proximity in the game.
 
Adams State sought to add to their score with a three-point attempt by Baron Holman at 3:02; however, the shot failed to find its mark. In the final stretch of the game, Destan Williams' successful free throw, added 1 more point to the Grizzlies total and underscored the result of the game 66-52.
 
Up Next, the Grizzlies will return to open Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action next Friday for a matchup at Western Colorado at 7:00 p.m.
