DURANGO, Colo. – A slow start doomed the Adams State University men's basketball team on Tuesday afternoon as they dropped a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game to the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks, 87-57, here on Bob Hofman Court inside Whalen Gymnasium.
The Grizzlies were held scoreless for the first six minutes of the game. They trailed 56-34 after the first half before being outscored 44-39 in the second half.
Kolby Walker was the leading scorer for the Grizzlies with 16 points.
With the loss the Grizzlies fall to a2-14 conference mark and a 4-18 overall mark. The Grizzlies remain in action on Friday when they travel to Gunnison to warm up Paul Wright Gym with a RMAC tilt against the Western Colorado University Mountaineers. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
