MSOC | Grizzlies fall to Aggies in rainy affair

ALAMOSA, Colo.— The Grizzlies had a tough game this Friday afternoons as one lone goal was able to get by costing them a chance at their first win of the season. The Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies were able to get their first win of the season over the Adams State University Grizzlies men's soccer team after a short 15 minute lightning delay.

The Grizzlies gave their best efforts as they put up a strong defense against the Aggies. Adams State was able to stand there ground and hold off the Aggies in the first half but then faced a rocky path in the second half of the match.

With rainy conditions, Maurido De Santiago was able to score a goal, which helped defeat the Grizzlies. The Panhandlers held the Grizzlies to just six shots while the Grizzlies defense allowed 14 with one on the goal.

Charles Manthe did his best to stop De Santiago from scoring but the ball was able to get by, costing the Grizzlies a chance at breaking their losing streak.

The Grizzlies will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 17 as they will travel to Canyon, Tex. to compete against West Texas A&M at 1:00 p.m. and  will get a chance to chase after their first win.
