GOLDEN, Colo.— The for the Adams State University Grizzly football team struggled in their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) opener on Saturday afternoon.
Seven first-half drives ended fruitless at Marv Kay Stadium as the No. 2 ranked Colorado School of Mines Orediggers cashed in on six of seven punts to take a 49-0 lead and eventually win the contest 70-7.
The Grizzlies were outgained 431-11 in yards in the first half as they faile to get a first down while Colorado School of Mines had 21.
The second half saw the Grizzlies score a touchdown as
Rasheed Rankin cashed in for a touchdown in the third.
The Grizzlies will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 23 as the highlight of Homecoming Week is a 6:00 p.m. kickoff against the Fort Lewis Skyhawks.
