ALAMOSA, Colo. -Surrendering two single goals in each half, the Adams State University women's soccer team was unconventional by celebrating senior day on Sunday afteroon here at the ASU Soccer Field. The Grizzlies lost 2-1.
The lone goal for the Grizzlies came on a penalty kick for
Karlee Caballero. She has two penalty kick goals, three total, on the season.
In Sunday's game the Grizzlies were outshot 18-11 with 11 shots from the Cougars being on target. Grizzly netminder
Ashlyn Bartley was stout between the pipes making some stellar leaping saves to keep the Grizzlies in the game. She had nine saves overall.
The Grizzlies will be back in action on Friday when they host Westminster at 3:00 p.m.
