VB | Grizzlies continue season with Maverick Fall Classic

ALAMOSA, Colo.— Coming off a 3-1 win vs. East Central University the Adams State University Volleyball team has a busy weekend lined up. They will have 4 games in the next 3 days playing in the DoubleTree by Hilton Maverick Fall Classic starting Thursday.
 
Each of the 6 teams  will play four matches throughout the tournament, which includes 2 matches on Thursday evening, 5 throughout the day on Friday, and 5 more on Saturday.
 
The Grizzlies next home matchup will feature New Mexico Highlands University next Saturday, September 16th, at 5:00 pm. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Grizzlies played 4 games last weekend where they played St. Mary's University, #1 West Texas A&M University, Davenport University, and most recently East Central University. The Grizzlies enter the tournament in Grand Junction 1-3, but are coming off a great win vs. East Central where the Grizzlies won 3-1.
 
This Weekend's Matchups
Adams State's 1st matchup of the weekend will be against Fresno Pacific University at 5:00 p.m. Thursday evening. This will be the Grizzlies' 1st matchup vs. the Sunbird's who are coming off a 0-3 loss from Stanislaus State last Saturday.
 
The second matchup of the weekend will feature Cal Poly Humboldt at 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon. This will also be Adams State's first time playing the  2-2 Lumberjack's, who most recently lost to Alaska Anchorage 0-3.
 
The third matchup is going to be against Dallas Baptist University at 12:00 p.m. Saturday. This will be the Grizzlies 2nd matchup vs. DBU. The previous match was in 2015 and went to the Lady Patriots.
 
To wrap up the weekend Adams State will contest the University of Sioux Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. This will also be the first matchup between the Grizzlies and the Cougars. The Cougars are coming off of a tough 2-3 loss to #13 Northwest Missouri State University.
