GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The women's volleyball team got back in action as they faced Fresno Pacific Thursday. This was their first match of the DoubleTree by Hilton Maverick Fall Classic. 

Fresno Pacific 3, Adams State 1

The Grizzlies won the first set, 25-14, then Fresno Pacific battled back winning the next two sets 25-15 and 25-17. The fourth set was perhaps the most intense as the Grizzlies barely came up short with a score of 24-26. 

Anna Huggins and Cindy Garcia combined for 25 kills throughout the match, 10 coming from Huggins and 15 from Garcia. 

The fourth set had 7 ties and 5 lead changes; however, the outcome of the match was decided as the fourth set ended in favor of Fresno Pacific making the final score 3-1.
