Grizzlies Fall 3-0 to No. 1 MSU Denver

DENVER – In a tough away match, the Adams State volleyball team faced a challenging opponent in #1 MSU Denver on Friday night. Despite a spirited effort, Adams State fell in three sets, with scores of 17-25, 17-25, and 14-25, dropping to a record of 6-15 overall and 3-7 in RMAC play.

Hadleigh Richardson led the team with an impressive .421 hitting percentage, contributing 9 kills out of her 19 attempts, while Cindy Garcia added 10 kills despite a tough night with 7 errors. Anna Huggins chipped in with 7 kills, helping the Grizzlies maintain competitiveness. Peyton Priddy showcased her playmaking with 14 assists, while Keely-Shae Sapiga added two assists as well.

Defensively, the Grizzlies had some strong performances, with Anna Huggins and Angela Youngs each tallying 4 digs. However, the offensive prowess of MSU Denver proved challenging to contain, as they hit .356 overall and kept Adams State's block attempts at bay.

The Grizzlies will look to regroup and refocus as they continue their RMAC season, aiming to take down Colorado School of Mines Saturday night and stay in playoff contention.
