DENVER, Colo. – Even though the Grizzly bats pushed eight runs across the plate on Saturday, the Regis Rangers' softball team used four home runs to sweep Adams State in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) action on Saturday night.
Game 1: Regis 11, Adams State 3 (5 inn.)
The series commenced with the Grizzlies trailing 2-1 as they entered the bottom of the third inning. However, the Rangers surged ahead, outscoring the Grizzlies 9-2 in the final three innings to secure a walkoff victory.
During the game, Adams State conceded eight hits and committed four errors, contributing to the Rangers' offensive advantage.
Game 2: Regis 19, Adams State 5 (5 inn.)
After conceding five runs in both the first and second innings to the Rangers, Adams State managed to narrow the deficit below the mercy rule by tallying three runs in the top of the fourth inning. However, the Rangers unleashed a formidable offensive surge, adding nine more runs.
Throughout the game, the Grizzlies accumulated five hits, while the Rangers amassed 14 hits. Adams State's defense struggled with three errors, and the pitching staff issued nine walks, further aiding the Rangers' offensive onslaught.
