GOLDEN, Colo. – For the second year in a row the Adams State University women's basketball team will host a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) by virtue of their dominating 82-63 win over the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers on Friday night.
With the win the Grizzlies improve to 22-7 overall and 17-4 in the RMAC standings.
Entering Saturday, there are four team with identical 17-4 records, Colorado Mesa, Regis, Adams State and UCCS. All four have clinched a home game and Mines is now out of the equation for any tiebreakers in the top 4 all four still have an opportunity to clinch a team title. The RMAC will announce official seeds and pairings Saturday night once all games are final and all ties have been broken.
Grizzlies took an early lead finished the first quarter on a 7-0 run to lead 23-10. They then continued to keep the pressure and outscored the Orediggers 19-7 in the second quarter as they shot 56.3 percent from the field including 6-of-12 from beyond the arch.
The second half saw the Grizzlies get their biggest lead of 32 points at 75-43 with six minutes remaining.

Harmanie Dominguez reach a milestone as she hit three three-pointers with nine points to reach 500 points on the season. She is just the second person to do that as Vera Jo Bustos is the only one to have done it, twice.
Kiiyani Anitielu went 10-of-22 from the field and led the Grizzlies with 22 points.
Adams State will play at Metro State on Saturday.
