Alamosa, Colo. - The Adams State baseball team played their first game of their four game series versus Metropolitan State University of Denver on Friday. The game ended 28-15 in favor of the Roadrunners. This moves the Grizzlies to 16-19 on the season and 11-6 in RMAC play.

The first inning made all the difference in this first game as the Roadrunners scored 13 runs in the top of the first inning. The Grizzlies would answer with 3 runs of their own and 12 more runs through the sixth inning; however, they couldn't stop the Roadrunners, who scored 12 more runs through six innings and 3 runs in the final two innings. The final score ended 28-15 in favor of the Roadrunners.
The Grizzlies had 15 runs on 21 hits from 44 at bats compared to MSU Denver's 28 runs on 24 hits and 50 at bats.
