Alamosa, Colo. - The Adams State Softball team played their first doubleheader of their four game series versus CSU Pueblo on Saturday. The first game ended 6-9 and the second game ended 3-6, both in favor of CSU Pueblo. The Grizzlies move to 5-38 on the season and 3-31 in RMAC play.
Game 1 - CSU Pueblo 9, Adams State 6
The Thunderwolves were the first on the board, scoring 1 run in the second and third innings respectively. They then scored 3 runs in the fourth inning and 4 more in the seventh inning. The Grizzlies scored 2 runs in each of the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings; however, the late surge was not enough and the game ended 9-6 in favor of CSU Pueblo.
The Grizzlies had 6 runs on 14 hits from 33 at bats compared to CSU Pueblo's 9 runs on 8 hits and 28 at bats.
Game 2 - CSU Pueblo 6, Adams State 3
CSU Pueblo was the first on the board, scoring 2 runs in the third inning. The Grizzlies then scored 1 run in the fifth inning, but the Thunderwolves scored 3 more runs in the sixth inning. The Grizzlies would add 2 more runs, but that would be the end of scoring for the Grizzlies. The game ended 6-3 in favor of the Thunderwolves.
The Grizzlies had 3 runs on 7 hits from 28 at bats compared to CSU Pueblo's 6 runs on 11 hits and 30 at bats.
