Alamosa, Colo. - The Adams State Softball team played their second doubleheader of their four game series versus Chadron State College on Sunday. The first game ended 15-2 and the second game ended 18-3, both in favor of Chadron State. The Grizzlies move to 5-44 on the season and 3-37 in RMAC play.
Game 1 - Chadron State 15, Adams State 2
The Eagles were the first on the board, scoring 1 run in the first inning. The Grizzlies would answer back in the first inning by scoring 2 runs themselves; however, the Grizzlies would not score anymore runs throughout the game. The Eagles would go on to score 14 unanswered runs and the game would end 15-2 after five innings.
The Grizzlies had 2 runs on 6 hits from 23 at bats compared to Chadron State's 15 runs on 11 hits and 25 at bats.
Game 2 - Chadron State 18, Adams State 3
The Eagles were first on the board again in game two, scoring 2 runs. The Grizzlies would also score 2 runs in the first inning. The Eagles would score 10 more runs through the third inning and 6 more runs in the fourth and fifth inning. The Grizzlies would try to battle back in the fifth inning, but were only able to score 1 more run. The game ended 18-3 in favor of Chadron State.
The Grizzlies had 3 runs on 4 hits from 20 at bats compared to Chadron State's 18 runs on 14 hits and 28 at bats.

The Grizzlies will be back in action next Saturday for their final four game series of the year against Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo.
