Grizzlies Fall to Orediggers on Day One of Double Header

Alamosa, Colo. - The Adams State Softball team played their first doubleheader of their four game series versus Colorado School of Mines on Thursday. The first game ended 0-8 and the second game ended 0-9, both in favor of Mines. The Grizzlies move to 5-46 on the season and 3-39 in RMAC play. 

Game 1 - CSM 8, Adams State 0

The Grizzlies struggled offensively and were unable to get on the board in their first game of the day. Mines' scored 2 runs in the second inning, 2 runs in the fourth inning, and 4 more runs in the sixth inning. The game ended 8-0 in favor of Mines.  

The Grizzlies had 0 runs on 0 hits from 18 at bats compared to Mines' 8 runs on 9 hits and 23 at bats. 

Game 2 - CSM 9, Adams State 0

The Grizzlies were unable to get on the board in game two as well, while Mines scored 8 runs in the first inning and 1 more run in the second inning. The game ended after five innings 9-0 in favor of CSM. 

The Grizzlies had 0 runs on 4 hits from 18 at bats compared to Mines' 9 runs on 13 hits and 24 at bats. 

Next Up

The Grizzlies will be back in action Friday to finish their series against Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo.
