Alamosa, Colo. - The Adams State baseball team played their final double header of their four game series versus Colorado School of Mines on Saturday. The first game ended 28-15 in favor of the Grizzlies and the second game ended 2-6 in favor of the OreDiggers. This brings the Grizzlies record to 16-18 on the season and 11-5 in RMAC play.
Game 1: Adams State 28, CSM 15
The Grizzlies were the first on the board, scoring 3 points in the top of first, but the OreDiggers scored 6 runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. Through five innings the Grizzlies were down 5-7, but in the top of the sixth inning the Grizzlies really got the bats going. They scored 4 runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings respectively and then scored a huge 11 runs in the ninth inning. The game ended 28-15 in favor of the Grizzlies.
Jack Dere and Matt Bathauer each brought in 5 RBI's each and Seth Reker was a solid 5 for 6 at the plate with 4 RBI's.
The Grizzlies had 28 runs on 29 hits from 56 at bats compared to CSM's 15 runs on 18 hits and 43 at bats.
Game 2: CSM 6, Adams State 2
The OreDiggers were the first on the board in the second game, scoring 2 points in the bottom of the first inning and 3 points in the bottom of the second inning. The Grizzlies would not score until the fourth inning, with 1 run, but Mines would score 1 run in the bottom of the fourth. The Grizzlies would only score 1 more run in the sixth inning and the game would end 6-2 after seven innings.
The Grizzlies had 2 runs on 8 hits from 27 at bats compared to CSM 6 runs on 7 hits and 22 at bats.

The Grizzlies will be back in action next weekend to play a four game series versus MSU Denver. First pitch is Friday April 12th at 3:00PM MT.
