Alamosa, Colo. - For the first time in program history, the Grizzlies defeated Colorado Mesa twice in one series to split the series overall. The last time the Grizzlies defeated Mesa before this weekend was 2016.Thanks to three big innings, the Grizzlies won 14-10. This game brought the Grizzlies to 24-26 on the season and 19-13 in RMAC play and concluded their regular season.
Adams State 14, Colorado Mesa 10
Mesa was on the board first with 1 run in the first inning, but the Grizzlies would match that and score 1 themselves in the bottom of the inning. The same result would be in the second inning and the Grizzlies would add an extra run in the third inning. The fourth through sixth innings would make all the difference though. The Grizzlies outscored Mesa 11-7 in these three innings and Mesa would only be able to add 1 more run in the eighth inning. The game would end after the top of the ninth inning, 14-10 in favor of Adams State.
The Grizzlies had 14 runs on 17 hits from 41 at bats compared to Mesa's 10 runs on 17 hits and 43 at bats.
