Grand Junction, Colo. - The Adams State baseball team played their first game of postseason play, Wednesday, against Colorado School of Mines. The game ended 7-2 in favor of Mines. This game brought the Grizzlies to 24-27 on the season and 19-14 in RMAC play. The RMAC tournament began Wednesday in Grand Junction, Colorado, the Grizzlies have entered the tournament as the 4th seed.
Colorado Mines 7, Adams State 2
Mines scored first and scored a run in each of the first three innings, but were then scoreless until a big 4 run seventh inning. Mines was up 7-0 until the ninth inning where the Grizzlies mustered 2 runs, but that was not enough and the game ended 7-2 in favor of Mines.
The Grizzlies had 2 runs on 5 hits from 33 at bats compared to Mines' 7 runs on 10 hits and 33 at bats.
