New Orleans, LA- For the second consecutive year, the Adams State Grizzlies were named the Jerry Baltes Division II Women's Program of the Year, awarded by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. 
 

After a year that saw the Grizzlies win the NCAA indoor track & field title and finish runner-up at both the cross country and outdoor track & field championships, the Grizzlies scored just four points at the three different championships. This is the fifth time in program history that Adams State has won the award, with four coming in the last five years. 

The Program of the Year award is based on team placement at cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field championships, with points awarded in ascending order, with the Program of the Year title going to the team that scores the lowest number of points.
