ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State University 33rd Annual Joe Vigil Memorial Cross Country Meet is Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Alamosa Cattails Golf Course. The weekend celebrates the legacy of legendary coach Dr. Joe I. Vigil while bringing together student-athletes, alumni, and members of the community.
Community 5K Race
The weekend begins with the Joe Vigil Community 5K Race at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Cattails Golf Course.
Registration is $25 through Sept. 1, increases to $30 after Sept. 1, and walk-up registration is $40 on race day. All registered participants will receive an event T-shirt.
Proceeds from the Community 5K benefit the Joe Vigil Scholarship Fund, supporting future Adams State student-athletes.

Joe Vigil Memorial
The Joe Vigil Memorial begins at 4 p.m. Saturday in Plachy Hall Fieldhouse, providing family, friends, former student-athletes, and colleagues an opportunity to honor Coach Vigil's remarkable legacy and lifelong impact on the sport of cross country and track and field. Partakers are encouraged to arrive at 3:00 p.m.
Sunday Send-Off
The memorial weekend concludes with a Campus Green Brunch and send-off at 10 a.m. Sunday.
