Alamosa, Colo. — The Adams State volleyball team closed out Senior Night in style Friday, defeating Chadron State in four sets. The Grizzlies (7-9 overall, 2-3 RMAC) earned a key Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory over the Eagles (4-11, 1-4), rallying after a first-set loss to win 27-25, 25-23, and 26-24.
Senior Hadleigh Richardson led the Grizzlies with 19 kills, while fellow seniors made major contributions. Olivia Lunttallied 12 kills, and Logan Conlin anchored the defense with 19 digs to help secure the win.
Chadron State's Mataya Ward finished with 12 kills, Jillian Donovan added 35 assists, and Bella Adams contributed six blocks in the effort.
The five Grizzly seniors — Conlin, Natalie Gallegos, Makylee Wilson, Richardson, and Lunt — were recognized for their dedication and impact on the Adams State volleyball program.
"It was nice to get a win on Senior Night and recognize all of their accomplishments over the course of their careers," said head coach Garcia Ramser. "Figuring out productive ways to respond to pressure while finding a way to win was a bonus."
The Grizzlies are back in action Saturday at 1 p.m., hosting Regis University in the Grizzly Den.
