DENVER, Colo. – The Adams State men's soccer team dropped their Friday matchup against Regis University, falling 8–1 in RMAC play.
The Rangers took an early lead and carried a 4–0 advantage into halftime. Freshman Tim Mietenkorte scored the lone goal for the Grizzlies in the 72nd minute — his first of the season — finding the back of the net off an assist to get Adams State on the board.
Goalkeepers Lars Ostermann and Joshua Kropf split time in goal, combining for three saves on the night.
Adams State managed four total shots, all on goal, while Regis finished with 28 shots and 12 on frame.
The Grizzlies (1-13-1, 0-8 RMAC) return to action Sunday when they face South Dakota Mines in Rapid City, S.D.
