Salt Lake City, Utah – The Adams State volleyball team battled back from a two-set deficit to take down Westminster (UT) 3–2 (20-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-10) on Saturday evening inside Behnken Field House.
After dropping the opening two frames, the Grizzlies found their rhythm behind strong play at the net and a balanced attack. Olivia Lunt led the offense with 17 kills and three blocks while hitting .367. Makylee Wilson added 16 kills at a .293 clip, and Mercy Martinez contributed 10 kills and 19 digs for a double-double performance.
Ellie Miller paced the Grizzlies' distribution with 16 assists, while Isabella De La Rosa tallied a team-high 23 assists and 14 digs. Logan Conlin anchored the back row with 13 digs, and Natalie Gallegos recorded seven points with two blocks.
As a team, Adams State hit .210 with 97 digs and eight total blocks.
The victory moves the Grizzlies to 13-10 overall, while Westminster falls to 13-9. Adams State will return home next week to host a pair of non-conference matchups Tuesday and Wednesday before the regular season winds down.
