GOLDEN, Colorado — In the Grizzlies' final road match against Colorado School of Mines, the Grizzlies fall by a score of 3-1. The loss puts the Grizzlies at 7-7-3 (3-6-2 RMAC) and puts them in eighth place heading into the final match of the regular season.
In today's match, the offenses of both teams really shone, with a total of 34 shots, 14 of which were on goal. Adams State recorded 12 shots with 6 being on goal, while Mines collected 22 shots, of which 8 were on goal. The difference in today's match was the ability of the goalies to make successful saves. Both Adams State and Mines recorded 5 saves on the match, but with Mines having 2 more shots on goal, this led to them scoring 3 goals while the Grizzlies were only able to collect 1 goal. Individually, goalkeeping for each team was Ashlyn Bartley and Kena Keyes for the Grizzlies, and Allie Lundgren and Emma Thomas for Mines. Bartley for the Grizzlies recorded 2 saves but allowed 2 goals in the first half before Keyes took over in the second half, recording 3 saves and allowing 1 goal.
