In game one, the Grizzlies struggled to keep the Colorado Mesa offense in check as they surrendered 12 hits, 8 walks, and 3 hit batters, totaling 23 base runners for the game. On the mound for the Grizzlies,
Brian Walters got the start, throwing 2 ⅔ innings, allowing 8 hits, 9 runs, 3 walks, and 1 hit batter while collecting 2 strikeouts. Walters took the loss in the game, putting him at 3-5 on the season.
Offensively, the Grizzlies could not generate consistent momentum, collecting only 8 hits, 2 walks, and 1 hit batter, totaling 11 base runners. A few players had solid days, including

The story of game one was the Grizzlies' inability to keep the Mavericks off the base paths due to free passes. The Grizzlies walked 8 batters and hit another 3, totaling 11 free passes for the day. These 11 free passes allowed the Mavericks to score every single time they got a hit, leading to their 15 runs in game one.

In game two, unfortunately, things did not improve for the Grizzlies as the Mavericks' offense again dominated the game, collecting 19 hits and 7 walks, totaling 26 base runners. The Mavericks also recorded 7 doubles and 2 home runs, totaling 9 extra-base hits for the game.
For the Grizzlies,
Connor Murray started the game, going 1 ⅔ innings, allowing 12 hits, 12 runs, 1 walk, and collecting 1 strikeout. The one positive for the Grizzlies' pitching staff today was
Logan Martin, who struck out 5 batters over his 3 innings of work.
Offensively, the Grizzlies struggled throughout the day, managing only 3 hits over 7 innings. All 3 hits came early in the game off Colorado Mesa's starter, Ethan Voss, leading to the Grizzlies' 2 early runs.
Caleb Eiguren collected an RBI single, alongside
Macs Carrillo. Both Eiguren and Carrillo hit their singles up the middle, scoring

Christian Altamirano. Unfortunately, once Voss left the game, the Grizzlies were unable to record another hit, resulting in only 2 runs for the game.
