Adams State Falls in Three to Orediggers

Golden, Colo. – Adams State fell in three sets to Colorado School of Mines on Friday. The Grizzlies (4–9 overall, 1–3 RMAC) dropped the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contest to the Orediggers (8–3 overall, 1–2 RMAC) by set scores of 25–15, 25–11, and 25–20.

Senior Hadleigh Richardson paced the Grizzlies with 12 kills, followed by junior Katie Bauer, who recorded 9 kills on 12 attempts. Junior Peyton Priddy and freshman Isabella DeLaRosa also contributed strong performances, each finishing with 10 assists.

The Grizzlies struggled to find rhythm on either side of the net, finishing with a .097 hitting percentage and no blocks. 

Colorado School of Mines showcased a powerful offensive presence, with Jenna McLaughlin leading the Orediggers with 18 kills on 27 attempts. Defensively, Mines limited Adams State to just 46 total points. Olivia Murillo anchored the back row with 12 digs, while Amanda Dudley Donais added 11 digs.

The Grizzlies return home Tuesday at 6 p.m. to host New Mexico Highlands for the second time in as many weeks for the first game of the Regional Power Pod.
