Chadron, Neb. – Adams State erased a 12-point halftime deficit and held on down the stretch to secure a 92–90 road win over Chadron State on Thursday night at the Chicoine Events Center.
The Grizzlies (10-5, 4-3 RMAC) trailed 56-44 at the break but Adams State flipped the momentum after intermission, outscoring the Eagles 48-34 in the second half.
Emilek Jallow led all scorers with 26 points off the bench, shooting 10-of-15 from the field while adding five rebounds and four assists. Wyatt Helming recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, anchoring the Grizzlies inside during the second-half surge.
Jayce King added 12 points on four made three-pointers, while Dillan Baker finished with 13 points and four assists. Jarmell Johnson chipped in 11 points, including key free throws late, as Adams State placed five players in double figures.
The game featured just four ties and four lead changes, with Adams State taking its first lead of the second half at the 6:37 mark and answering each Chadron State push down the stretch. Jallow sealed the win at the free-throw line in the final seconds before the Grizzlies forced a missed jumper at the buzzer.
The Grizzlies will travel to Rapid City, S.D., Saturday to take on the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers at 3 p.m.
