Alamosa, Colo. – Adams State dropped both games of Saturday's RMAC doubleheader, falling 6-4 to Sul Ross State in game one and 10-1 to UT Permian Basin in game two.
Sul Ross State jumped out to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning before adding another in the second. Adams State got on the board in the fourth inning when Ali Davis scored on a wild pitch.
The Lobos added one run in the sixth to extend the lead. Adams State mounted a late rally in the seventh inning as Brylyn Haddick singled to right field to drive in a run. Devree Godinez followed with an RBI groundout, and Aubree Davis added an RBI single, but the comeback fell short.
In game two, the Grizzlies fell 10-1 to UT Permian Basin. Adams State's lone run came in the fourth inning when Emily Sauvageau recorded an RBI single to score Kaylee Eyl.
Adams State returns to action on Sunday as the Grizzlies face off against West Texas A&M for their final game of the Los Lunas Tournament.
