Before ASU: Played for Coach Jason Ficca and the Laramie County (Wyo.) Community College Eagles during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons… Was a teammate with fellow Grizzly and Brazilian Rodrigo Silva during both seasons at the Cheyenne, Wyo. institution… Averaged eight points and six rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles helping the team to a 20-13 mark in 2010-11 and a 14-17 mark in 2011-12… Played forward and power forward positions… Had redshirted at Salt Lake Community College in 2009-10.

Prep: Played for and attended Colegio Hugo Sarmento in his hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil… Helped his team to four vice state championships… Played point guard, forward and power forwards… Also played high school soccer.

Academics: Is majoring in international business… Wants to become an international company’s representative… Had a 3.8 GPA in junior college earning academic excellence honors… Had a 3.6 GPA in high school.

Off the Court: Born 07/13/90… Son of Jose Otavio Pinto e Silva and Maria Elisabeth Machado Pinto e Silva… Brothers Claudio and Vitor are 27 and 20, respectively… Enjoys hanging out with friends and watching movies… Favorite food is his mother’s fillet mignon… Favorite professional sports team is the Los Angeles Lakers.
