Adams State University

Britt Maughan joined the Adams State staff in the winter of 2017-18. Prior to his time in Alamosa he served as a defensive assistant and Idaho State and was the head coach of Snow College prior to that. 

Maughan coached 14 junior college All-Americans during his tenure, as well as 50 all-conference selections. This year, the Badgers had six all-conference honorees, includes wide receiver Alex Croyle (first team), quarterback Justin Miller (second team), linebacker Alani Pututatu (second team), linebacker Dax Eisinger (second team), punter Dom Panazzollo (second team), defensive back JoJo Henderson (second team) and defensive back Blake Miller (second team).

Maughan joined the Badgers coaching staff as a linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator in 2006, serving in that capacity until 2008. He also was a defensive intern working with safeties at Utah in 2009 and a defensive graduate assistant with the linebackers for the Utes in 2010.

Maughan then served as Snow's defensive coordinator from 2011-12 before being named the head coach in 2013, while retaining the defensive coordinator responsibilities.

Prior to his time at Snow in Ephraim, Maughan also served as an offensive coach at Ben Lomond High from 2004-05 and the offensive line/defensive line coach at Weber High in 2003. He played at Weber High from 1995-97 and graduated from Utah State with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.
