Quint Seckler heads into his third year as head coach of the ASU Women's Swimming program and first year of leading the revitalized men's swimming program.
In his first two years, Seckler headed up a women's swim team that produced athletes who were highly competitive within the RMAC. Going into 2020, Seckler will also take over a newly reinstated Men's Swim program, which was dropped following the 2015-16 season.
Seckler made his way to Alamosa after a storied prep career in New Mexico at La Cueva High School (1991-2003) and most recently at Eldorado High School (2009-17). His coaching career spans over 33 years and includes 28 Metro Championships, 12 State Championships, and 4 Coach of the Year awards. During the 2001-02 season, Seckler was one of eight finalists for the NFHSCA National High School Coach of the Year.
His La Cueva girls program won five consecutive state titles from 1995-99 and added another in 2001. His Eldorado girls program won three consecutive titles from 2013-15 while the Eldorado boys were back-to-back state champions in 2012 and 2013.
In addition to his prep coaching career, Seckler has spent time coaching at Paradise Hills Country Club, Albuquerque Country Club, Sandia Heights, and Highpoint Sports and Wellness.
He holds Bachelor degrees from the University of New Mexico and the College of Santa Fe and a Master's degree from Walden University.
Seckler and his wife, Tracy, have two daughters: Megan (22) and Madison (17).
