Alexa Hardick Tripp

Hardick Tripp, originally from Dallas, Texas, is entering her second year as Assistant Men’s Basketball coach in Fall of 2024. In her first year on staff, the Grizzlies doubled their conference wins from the previous season. The team finished the year as one of the fastest scoring teams in the country with the 16th-most fastbreak points (15.93 PPG, 430 total points), and ended the season 3rd in conference (out of 15 teams) in scoring at over 80 PPG.

Hardick Tripp arrived in Alamosa after spending the last three seasons as the head coach of the Moscow HS (Idaho) girls' basketball program. In 2022-23 she doubled as the HS Athletic Director for the Bears.

Prior to Adams State, she worked for 5 years as an assistant coach on the women's side in the RMAC. She spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Regis University with the women's basketball team working for head coach Molly Marrin. The Rangers competed in the RMAC tournament both years, and went to the NCAA tournament in 2016-17.

After she graduated from Regis with her Master's in Business Administration, Hardick Tripp was hired by Tanya Haave as an assistant coach at MSU Denver. The Roadrunners advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2017-18.  She helped develop six all-conference student-athletes as the guard position coach on staff, and was instrumental in recruiting four all-conference student-athletes, including the 2021-22 RMAC Player of the Year.

Hardick Tripp began coaching after a playing career at the University of San Francisco. She  was a four year member of the program from 2010-14. While at San Francisco, Hardick was team captain, a two-time WCC Academic Honorable Mention honoree, and currently holds the 14th highest three-point shooting percentage of all-time.

Head Coach Kenny Tripp and Hardick Tripp were married in May of 2022.
