Before ASU: Played coach Jerome Jenkins at the Santa Monica (Calif.) College Corsairs as a sophomore in 2011-12… Earned Honorable Mention All-Western State South Division accolades… Helped the team to a winning 15-13 mark… Had played for coach Johnny Estelle and the Navarro College Bulldogs of Corsicana, Texas as a freshman in 2010-11… Helped the team to a 20-11 mark.

Prep: Played for coach Reggie Morris and the Leuzinger High School Olympians of Lawndale, Calif… Earned Second Team All-State CIF honors in 2009… Was a First Team All-Bay Area pick as well.

Academics: Is majoring in criminal justice with hopes of a career in professional basketball or as homicide detective... Graduated from Leuzinger HS in 2009.

Off the Court: Born 05/31/91… Son of Tedi and Glenda Wheeler… Sibling Jordan in 29… Father played professional baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization in 1980… Enjoys playing video games, sleeping and bowling… Favorite movie is Don’t Be a Menace… Favorite food is pasta… Favorite professional sports team is the Los Angeles Lakers.
