Biography

As a Sophomore (2011): Made two starts while appearing in all 17 games for the Grizzlies… Scored one goal on 11 shots, two of which were on target… Provided the Grizzlies’ lone strike in the season finale as ASU hosted then 3rd-ranked Fort Lewis on Oct. 30, finding the net in the 80th minute to tie the game at 1-1.

As a Freshman (2010): Made appearances in 15 games, including 9 starts in 2010… Played for 803 minutes total, including all 90 minutes of the October 29th Colorado Mines game…Took 13 shots over the course of the season, including four against Colorado Christian.

Prep: 3-year letterwinner and 2-year starter for the Mike Gurney coached Mountain Crest HS Mustangs of Hyrum, Utah… Scored six goals while assisting on five others in 2010 en-route to second team all-valley honors… Played wing, midfield and forward positions… Had earned honorable mention accolades as a junior in 2009 after tallying three goals and three assists… Was named as the MVP after five games in those two years… Helped the squad win Region 5 Championships in both years.

Club: Played for the Sherri Dever coached Infinity Soccer Club based in Logan, Utah… Helped the team finish second in the Premier Division in 2009.

Academics: Plans to major in sports psychology… Posted a 3.126 high school GPA earning honor roll status twice.

Off the Pitch: Born 11/11/91 to Sergio and Adela López… Brother Joel is 28… Sisters Adriana and Mariana are 27 and 15, respectively… Hobbies are reading, drawing, and watching sports… Favorite movie is The Dark Knight… Favorite food is Mexican food... Favorite professional sports teams are Manchester United and Chicago Bulls... Chose Adams State because "they gave me an opportunity to play soccer in NCAA Division II and because Colorado is a beautiful state."
