Jack Ballard is entering his first year as a member of the Adams State Athletic family. Fall 2024 will be his first season as an assistant coach for the women's basketball team. Â
Ballard brings over 20 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels to Adams State. He served as an assistant women's basketball coach at NCAA Division III Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, from 2010-2012.Â
From Pacific Lutheran, Ballard moved to NAIA Northern New Mexico College in 2012, where he served as an assistant coach for one season before being elevated to Head Coach in 2013. A position that he served in until 2015, guiding the Eagles to a conference semifinal in the programs first-ever postseason qualification in 2014. In his final season at Northern New Mexico College, the program advanced to the Conference Final, narrowly missing advancing to the National Tournament.Â
A Utah native, Ballard has spent recent years coaching at the high school level in the Salt Lake Valley.Â
A collegiate baseball player at Utah State Unviersity Eastern, Ballard hold a bachelors degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Utah and a masters of business administration from Western Govenors University.Â
